Dr. Trimis has extensive experience in Musical Theatre as a rehearsal pianist, on-stage performer, orchestra pit musician, and musical director. Trimis has also written original musicals and arranged musical reviews. Trimis is proficient in MainStage (keyboard performance), Finale (music writing), and Garage Band/Logic Pro X (music production).

Writing for Musicals (Book-Music-Lyrics)
Dr. Trimis has developed a Writing for Musicals course piloted at Verdugo Hills High School and Legacy Visual and Performing Arts High School (2015-2022). The course is currently offered at Legacy VAPA HS and is one of only a few such high school courses in the world.
Trimis' students have been finalists and grand prize winners in the Foundation for New American Musicals' Show Search competition (Grandma's Keeper, 2017 Grand Prize Winner and The Hardest Goodbye 2019 top 3 finalists)
